It is like the space between the breath. The micro-moment between the inhale and the exhale.  

Unless entirely aware of the exploration of stillness and it cannot be absorbed or processed―instead, what if you could find yourself returning again and again to this untapped space?

What if we can use the breath as medicine whenever your soul calls you to examine, transform, and renew yourself? 

Last year (and some of this one too) was life-changing for most people.

Music is scientifically proven to have a powerful effect on the brain.

Recent research shows that music can help with many aspects of the mind, including pain reduction, stress relief, memory, and brain injuries.

In the book The Power of Music, Elena Mannes says, “Scientists have found that music stimulates more parts of the brain than any other human function.” (Naponen, 2018).

The benefits of music get taken a step further with music-induced states of altered consciousness. Historically, human beings have tweaked their conscious states to promote physical and mental healing. We use altered states to treat substance dependence and for spiritual or palliative care. For example, people in rehab immerse themselves in sounds known as ‘binaural beats’ because some frequencies can give the brain the same sensation a drug would. The brain doesn’t undergo harm as a result; the opposite happens, and we see positive outcomes because of this stimulation (Napoten, 2018).

When introduced to two different frequencies at once, our brains process this by creating another tone entirely. Listening to specific forms of music helps us achieve desired states. With the use of music alone, you can reach a meditative state, facilitate a better night’s sleep, and enable more effective concentration. The capacity for healing emerges, too. Your nervous system will calm your body down without the use of a drug or medication (Albridge, 2016) .

1. We are all more lucky than we realize. 

2. Our desires for life are pretty similar. (Over 130,000 people following me on Tiktok says it all. I mean, who’d have thought?)

3. When something makes me feel good, I do more of it.

4. It’s okay to admit that there’s more than one truth. Others may not agree. Remember that when there’s sunshine, there’s going to be some shade.

5. I spend way too much time pondering the solutions instead of just creating.

6. A self-care routine doesn’t need to start at 5 a.m. to set you up for success.

7. If I try to be like someone else for everyone to find me appealing, I miss the gift of being myself.

Our minds build an illusionary world rather than perceiving the endless detail happening in nature through our bodies. 

I like the idea of consciousness acting as an integrator, especially when it involves non-ordinary states due to Breathwork or Psychedelics. 

Not everyone has access to or interest in psychedelics. That’s perfectly fine. 

Breathwork can be a powerful tool to get you there as well.

The non-ordinary states allow our mind metaphorically to jump the Default Mode Network to link with the generation of the self (in its many guises) and clarifies the experience of ‘flow.’

In other words… getting fucked up is an excellent way to UnFuck yourself. 

Keep being brave, sharing and integrating.

Remember, everyone’s journey looks different. And there are so many things to consider, including :

  • Where are you starting?
  • Where have you come from?
  • What are your goals?

There is no one way to BE BRAVE!

Keep being brave, sharing and integrating.
