1. We are all more lucky than we realize. 

2. Our desires for life are pretty similar. (Over 130,000 people following me on Tiktok says it all. I mean, who’d have thought?)

3. When something makes me feel good, I do more of it.

4. It’s okay to admit that there’s more than one truth. Others may not agree. Remember that when there’s sunshine, there’s going to be some shade.

5. I spend way too much time pondering the solutions instead of just creating.

6. A self-care routine doesn’t need to start at 5 a.m. to set you up for success.

7. If I try to be like someone else for everyone to find me appealing, I miss the gift of being myself.

I speak a lot about psilocybin mushrooms because they’re my psychedelic of choice by a wide margin. However, so many other psychedelics playing a part in the current psychedelic renaissance are worth mentioning because of their healing potential.

So allow me to drop some knowledge about dropping acid!

Lysergic acid diethylamide (which you may know as LSD) is considered an empathogen. It’s known to enhance feelings of empathy and connectedness.

LSD is a synthetic chemical derived from a fungus that commonly infects rye.

We refer to LSD as a ‘psychedelic’ (or mind-manifesting) drug because of users’ changes in perception, mood, and thought. Reports show that, on taking LSD, users experience visual hallucinations and distortion of time and space.

I believe that research involving controlled doses of LSD administered in a safe therapeutic setting can change the perspective that this substance is dangerous and taboo. A solid body of research surrounding LSD could allay fears and anxieties and do away with general misinformation.

Like Psilocybin, LSD has the potential for so much healing.

It’s complicated to explain the precise way LSD affects the brain in a single post, but it seems to interact with multiple receptors (serotonin and dopamine, for instance) simultaneously.

Current studies explore the potential of LSD to encourage new ways of thinking and ‘reset’ the brain’s habitual patterns of thought. These shifts in thought aid in healing depression, complex PTSD, and even reverse signs of dementia

For us to start healing the world, we must learn to take responsibility for healing ourselves.

We all have the fundamental desire to create an ideal world where everyone is healthy, happy, and free of suffering. 

We all have the habitual tendency to look around us, find out what’s wrong with the world, and then try to “fix” it.

Look, I get it. Shit happens! Horrible things happen around us every day. However, to transform the world we all experience, we have to start with ourselves. 

Psychedelics have empowered me to heal in significant ways.

Healing from addiction has been the most important thing I’ve ever done in my life. You’re welcome! That’s one less addicted person on the planet for the rest of us.

We can only create change in the world if we first start with our own individual healing.

When we heal a part in ourselves, we also heal that part of the world.

Our minds build an illusionary world rather than perceiving the endless detail happening in nature through our bodies. 

I like the idea of consciousness acting as an integrator, especially when it involves non-ordinary states due to Breathwork or Psychedelics. 

Not everyone has access to or interest in psychedelics. That’s perfectly fine. 

Breathwork can be a powerful tool to get you there as well.

The non-ordinary states allow our mind metaphorically to jump the Default Mode Network to link with the generation of the self (in its many guises) and clarifies the experience of ‘flow.’

In other words… getting fucked up is an excellent way to UnFuck yourself. 

Keep being brave, sharing and integrating.

Remember, everyone’s journey looks different. And there are so many things to consider, including :

  • Where are you starting?
  • Where have you come from?
  • What are your goals?

There is no one way to BE BRAVE!
